Olive oil: the harvest has begun, with some important news
This week, as soon as the planting phase was completed, we turned our attention to the olive groves: the olive harvest has officially begun, and we are ready to offer you, as we do every year, our extra virgin olive oil.
The most important news, however, is that this year our commitment to quality and sustainability has been rewarded with a major milestone: we have also obtained Organic Certification for our oil. This recognition testifies to the care and love we put into every stage of production, from the field to the pressing, guaranteeing you a pure and environmentally friendly product.
Saffron: a harvest with a bitter ending...
At the same time, the saffron flowers have begun to bloom, and we have begun the meticulous harvest of the first precious pistils.
Unfortunately, this moment of joy is overshadowed by a serious setback. In recent weeks, the field has suffered extensive damage from wild boars, who have torn down the fence, rooted deeply, unearthed and eaten a large number of bulbs.
This significant damage forces us to reckon with the challenges that nature sometimes presents us…
